HERMA SUSTAINABILITY

HERMA's sustainability strategy focuses on measures that help to stop or at least slow down further global warming:

To avoid, reduce or offset emissions of CO2 and other climate-relevant gases within our own sphere of influence.

Promoting the use of sustainable, climate-neutral raw materials and components in our production wherever this is possible and economically viable.

At HERMA we accept our responsibility to keep the ecological footprint of our activities + products as small as possible and to improve it continuously.

Energy - only use electricity from renewable energy sources. One of the 1st companies in the industry to have our energy management certified by the global ISO 50001 standard.

Climate - Since 2021, have been producing adhesive materials, labels and labelling machines in a climate-neutral way – without a CO2 footprint.

Resources - To ensure that this footprint is as small as possible, we use paper from sustainable forestry (FSC®) and raw and auxiliary materials that are produced as sustainably as possible.

Water - In our production, we need water for steam generation, for cooling, for air humidification and in relatively small quantities for cleaning. Our wastewater mainly comes from sanitary facilities and the canteen and is only produced in small quantities in production. By continuously monitoring the points of consumption, we ensure that water is used sparingly.
